Linda Söderlund

Linda Söderlund is a Swedish diplomat who has served as the UNICEF Representative to Syria since 2012. She has worked for the United Nations for over 20 years, with previous assignments in countries such as Afghanistan and Iraq. Söderlund has been a strong advocate for children's rights and has worked to promote education and healthcare in conflict-affected areas. She has also been a vocal critic of child labor and has worked to prevent the exploitation of children in conflict zones. Söderlund is a graduate of the University of Uppsala and has a master's degree in international relations from the University of Geneva. She is fluent in several languages, including Arabic and English.
