Louis-Philippe d'Orléans, also known as Philippe-Égalité, was a French prince and politician. He was the cousin of King Louis XVI and played a significant role in the French Revolution. Philippe-Égalité was a key figure in the royalist opposition to the Revolution and was eventually executed in 1793. He is remembered as a symbol of the aristocracy and the monarchy that was overthrown during the Revolution.
