Conservative statesman and politician
Lucius Junius Brutus was a Roman statesman and politician who played a key role in the establishment of the Roman Republic. He was a member of the patrician class and served as a consul in 509 BCE. Brutus was known for his conservative views and his efforts to establish a strong and stable government in Rome. He was also a skilled orator and writer, and was one of the most influential figures in early Roman politics. Despite his many achievements, Brutus is perhaps best known for his role in the expulsion of the last king of Rome, Lucius Tarquinius Superbus.
