Spanish surrealist film director
Luis Bunuel was a Spanish surrealist film director, screenwriter, and artist. He is best known for his collaborations with Salvador Dali and his films such as "Un Chien Andalou" and "L'Age D'Or". Bunuel was born in Calanda, Spain and studied at the San Fernando Academy of Fine Arts. He went on to work as a film director, screenwriter, and artist, and was a key figure in the surrealist movement. Bunuel died in Paris, France in 1983.
