Luíz Pacheco was a Portuguese writer and poet. He is best known for his novel Ser Livre em Portuguçs, which is considered one of the greatest works of Portuguese literature. Pacheco was born in Lisbon, Portugal in 1924 and died in 1990. He was a prominent figure in the Portuguese literary movement of the mid-20th century.
