Luz Marina Becerra Panesso is a Colombian social worker and activist who founded La Comadre, the Coordinación de Mujeres Afrocolombianas Desplazadas en Resistencia, in 2007. She is also the secretary general of AFRODES, the National Association of Afro-Colombian Displaced Persons. Becerra Panesso has been working for over two decades to advocate for the rights of Afro-Colombian people who, like her and her family, have been displaced from their ancestral territories due to the conflict. She is 48 years old and specializes in intervention and social management. Becerra Panesso is a prominent figure in the Afro-Colombian community and has been recognized for her tireless work in promoting the rights and dignity of Afro-Colombian people.
