Indigenous rights activist and musician
Luzmila Carpio is a Bolivian musician and indigenous rights activist. She is known for her work in promoting Bolivian folk music and has been a key figure in the country's indigenous rights movement. Carpio has been active in the music industry since the 1970s and has released several albums. She has also been a vocal advocate for social justice and has worked to empower indigenous communities. In the 1980s, Carpio emigrated to France, where she continued to work on her music and activism. She has recently released a new album, Inti Watana - El Retorno del Sol, which has been well-received by critics and fans alike. Carpio is currently based in Paris, France.
