Mao Dun was a Chinese novelist and journalist. He was born in 1896 and died in 1981. Mao Dun is best known for his novel 'The Tear of Heaven', which was adapted into a film. He was also a prominent figure in the Chinese literary scene and was known for his work in promoting Chinese literature abroad.
