Marc Allégret
French filmmaker and companion
Marc Allégret was a French filmmaker and the companion of André Gide during his journey to the Congo in 1925. While not as widely recognized as Gide, Allégret contributed to the documentation of Gide's experiences in the Congo. His work in cinema included directing several films, but he is best known for his collaborations with Gide during this period.
