Marcel Duchamp was a French-American artist and conceptualist who is widely regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. He is best known for his readymades, which challenged traditional notions of art and beauty. Duchamp was a pioneer of conceptual art and has had a lasting impact on the art world. He was born in Blainville, France and died in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France.
