Italian architect and urban planner
Marcello Piacentini was an Italian architect and urban planner who played a significant role in the development of modern Italian architecture. Born in 1872 in Rome, Italy, Piacentini studied architecture at the Politecnico di Milano and went on to work with notable architects such as Giuseppe Terragni and Giacomo Balla. He is best known for his work on the Casa del Fascio in Como and the Piazza del Viminale in Rome.
