María Elena Ixchel Vásquez

María Elena Ixchel Vásquez is a Guatemalan social scientist and researcher. She is a professor at the University of San Carlos in Guatemala City and has written extensively on topics related to social movements, epistemology, and Latin American studies. Vásquez has a strong background in anthropology and sociology, and has conducted research on a range of topics, including indigenous rights and social justice.
