Marie Besnard

Marie Besnard was a French woman who lived in the 17th century. She was the subject of a supposed exorcism in Loudun, France. The incident was widely publicized and has been the subject of much speculation and debate. Besnard's life and death remain somewhat of a mystery, and her story has been the subject of numerous books, articles, and other works of fiction. Despite the many accounts of her life, there is little concrete evidence to support the claims of demonic possession and exorcism that surround her story.
