Marie Bjerre

Marie Bjerre is a Danish politician who has served as the European Commissioner for Home Affairs since 2019. She was previously the Minister of Immigration and Integration in the Danish government. Bjerre has been a member of the Danish parliament since 2007 and has served as a spokesperson for the Social Democratic Party. She has been a strong advocate for human rights and social justice, and has worked to promote integration and inclusion in Denmark. Bjerre has also been a vocal critic of xenophobia and nationalism. She is based in Brussels, Belgium.
