Mario Zagallo was an Italian footballer and manager. Born on November 9, 1931, in Palermo, Italy, he is best known for his successful managerial career, particularly with the Italian national team. Zagallo led Italy to the 1982 FIFA World Cup final and won the European Cup with Inter Milan in 1964. He is also known for his role as a coach and executive in various Italian football clubs. Mario Zagallo passed away on May 22, 2017, at the age of 85.
