Mark Noll is an American historian and author known for his books on American religious history, particularly the 19th century. He is a professor emeritus of history at Wheaton College. Noll has written extensively on the history of American evangelicalism and has been a prominent voice in the field. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the Grawemeyer Award for Religion. Noll has a Ph.D. in history from Yale University.
