Marko Polo

Marco Polo was a Venetian merchant and traveler who is best known for his travels to China during the 13th century. He is considered one of the most famous travelers of all time and his book about his travels, Il Milione, is still widely read today. Polo was born in 1254 in the Republic of Venice and died in 1324 in the court of Kublai Khan. He is remembered for his bravery, intelligence, and curiosity about the world.
