Martín Lutero was a German theologian and reformer who played a key role in the Protestant Reformation. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Christian history. Lutero was born in 1483 in Eisleben, Germany and studied at the University of Erfurt. He became a priest and later a professor of theology at the University of Wittenberg. Lutero's writings and teachings had a profound impact on the development of Protestantism. He is best known for his Ninety-Five Theses, which challenged the Catholic Church's practices and helped spark the Reformation. Lutero's legacy continues to be felt today, with many churches and denominations bearing his name. He died in 1546 at the age of 62.
