Mary Wollstonecraft was a British philosopher and writer who is best known for her influential work A Vindication of the Rights of Woman. Born in 1759, Wollstonecraft was a pioneer of feminist thought and a key figure in the Enlightenment. She died in 1797 at the age of 38.
