Mauro Giuliani

Mauro Giuliani was an Italian composer and guitarist who lived in the 19th century. He is best known for his guitar music, particularly his 12 Caprices for Solo Guitar. Giuliani was born in Rome, Italy in 1781 and began studying music at a young age. He went on to study with several prominent composers of the time, including Gioachino Rossini and Giovan Battista Viotti. Giuliani's music was widely popular during his lifetime and he is still considered one of the greatest guitar composers of all time. He died in 1829 at the age of 48.
