May Sarton was a Belgian-American writer and poet. She was born in 1912 and died in 1995. Sarton was known for her poetry and novels, and was a prominent figure in the literary world. She was also a professor at Bennington College and was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 1967.
