Melel Xojobal

Melel Xojobal is a social worker and human rights activist who has been working with marginalized communities in Chiapas, Mexico since 1997. She is the founder of the organization Melel Xojobal, which works with children, adolescents, and adults to promote their rights and improve their living conditions. Melel Xojobal has received several awards for her work, including the National Human Rights Award. She is also a professor at the University of San Cristóbal de las Casas.
