Melissa Reid is a British woman who was involved in a high-profile scandal in Peru. She was arrested in 2013 along with her friend Michaella McCollum for smuggling cocaine into the country. Reid has since been convicted and sentenced to 10 years in prison. She has been released on parole and is currently living in the UK.
