Mercedes Peñalba-Sotorrío

Mercedes Peñalba-Sotorrío is a Spanish historian and academic. She is a senior lecturer in modern European history at Manchester Metropolitan University in England. Peñalba-Sotorrío has published extensively on the history of Spain and Europe, including the period of Franco's dictatorship and the transition to democracy. She has also written on the history of women's rights and social movements in Europe.
