Meysam Makhmalbaf

Meysam Makhmalbaf is an Iranian filmmaker, writer, and director. He is known for his work on films such as 'The Wind Will Carry Us' and 'A Separation'. Makhmalbaf was born in Tehran, Iran in 1957. He studied film at the Sorbonne in Paris and began his career in the 1980s. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. Makhmalbaf is also a writer and has published several books of poetry and prose.
