Mia Sosa-Provencio

Mia Sosa-Provencio is an Associate Professor of Secondary Education in the Department of Teacher Education, Educational Leadership, and Policy, at the University of New Mexico. She taught Language Arts for seven years at Rio Grande High School. Mia is a scholar and educator who has dedicated her career to improving educational experiences for students and teachers. Her research focuses on the intersection of education, social justice, and community engagement. Mia is a passionate advocate for social justice and has worked tirelessly to promote equity and inclusion in education. She is a beloved teacher and mentor who has inspired countless students and colleagues with her dedication and passion.
