Michael Morpurgo

Michael Morpurgo is a British author, playwright, and former teacher. He is best known for his children's books, which often explore themes of war, loss, and redemption. Morpurgo has written over 150 books and has won numerous awards, including the Hans Christian Andersen Award and the National Book Award. He was appointed Children's Laureate in 2005 and has been a vocal advocate for children's literature and literacy. Morpurgo is married to Clare Morpurgo and has three children.
