Former FCC Commissioner
Mignon Clyburn is an American lawyer and politician who served as a commissioner on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) from 2012 to 2017. She was the first African American woman to serve on the commission. Clyburn has a background in law and policy, and has worked on issues related to telecommunications and media regulation. She has also been involved in advocacy work on issues such as net neutrality and consumer protection. Clyburn has received numerous awards for her work, including the National Association of Black Journalists' Lifetime Achievement Award.
