Mike Budenholzer is a former head coach of the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA. He was born on July 2, 1977, in Chicago, Illinois. Budenholzer played college basketball at the University of Illinois and later played professionally in Europe. He began his coaching career in the NBA as an assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs. He became the head coach of the Hawks in 2015 and led the team to the playoffs several times. However, he was fired by the Suns in 2022. Budenholzer is known for his defensive expertise and his ability to develop young players.
