Mildred Hill

Mildred Hill was a music educator and composer who is best known for creating the melody for the song 'Happy Birthday to You'. She was born in 1859 in Lawrence, Kansas, and grew up in a musical family. Hill studied music at the Lawrence High School and later attended the Kansas State Normal School. She worked as a music teacher and composer, and her most famous composition is the melody for 'Happy Birthday to You'. Hill was a pioneer in music education and was recognized for her contributions to the field. She passed away in 1946.
