Mohammad Sadegh Hafez was a prominent Iranian poet, politician, and novelist. Born on May 17, 1910, in Shiraz, Iran, he is best known for his poetry collection 'Ghazals'. He served as the Minister of War under Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh during the period between World War II and the Iranian Revolution.
