Montezuma II

Montezuma II was the last emperor of the Aztec Empire. He ruled from 1502 until his death in 1520. Montezuma II was a member of the Aztec royal family and was known for his intelligence and strategic thinking. He was a key figure in the Aztec Empire's interactions with the Spanish conquistadors, led by Hernan Cortes. Montezuma II was captured by the Spanish and held prisoner until his death. He is remembered as a symbol of Aztec resistance against the Spanish colonization of Mexico.
