Hungarian writer and historian
Mór Jókai was a Hungarian writer and historian. He is best known for his novels and short stories, which often explored the history and culture of Hungary. Jókai was a prominent figure in Hungarian literature and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1926. He was also a historian and wrote extensively on the history of Hungary. Jókai's work is still widely read and studied today.
