MS Swaminathan

M.S. Swaminathan is a renowned Indian agricultural scientist and plant geneticist. He is known for his work in developing high-yielding varieties of wheat and rice, which led to the Green Revolution in India. He has received numerous awards and honors for his contributions to agriculture and science. Swaminathan has also been a strong advocate for sustainable agriculture and has written several books on the subject. He is currently the Chancellor of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.
