Muirchertach Mac Lochlainn was a King of Ailech who ruled from 916 to 939. He was a member of the Uí Néill dynasty and is known for his military campaigns against the Vikings and his efforts to unify Ireland. Mac Lochlainn was a skilled military leader who expanded Ireland's borders and established a strong centralized government. He is remembered as one of Ireland's greatest kings.
