Social psychologist and researcher
Muzafer Sherif was a Turkish-American social psychologist and researcher. He is best known for his work on group conflict and cooperation, particularly his famous Robbers Cave Experiment. Sherif was born in 1913 in Istanbul, Turkey, and immigrated to the United States in 1936. He earned his PhD in psychology from Harvard University and went on to become a prominent figure in the field of social psychology. Sherif was a pioneer in the study of group dynamics and conflict resolution.
