Nausheen Anwar

Nausheen Anwar is a Pakistani scholar and director of the Karachi Urban Lab. She is a professor of urban studies and planning at the University of Karachi. Anwar has written extensively on urban governance, conflict, and social justice in the context of South Asia. She is a prominent voice on issues related to urban development, poverty reduction, and human rights. Anwar has received numerous awards for her work, including the prestigious Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Welfare Award. She is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies.
