Nicolae Ceausescu

Nicolae Ceausescu was a Romanian politician and dictator who ruled Romania from 1965 until his overthrow in 1989. He was a member of the Romanian Communist Party and served as the General Secretary of the party from 1965 to 1989. Ceausescu was known for his authoritarian rule and his attempts to isolate Romania from the rest of the world. He was executed in 1989 after a popular uprising.
