Noemí Gualinga

Noemí Gualinga is an indigenous leader and activist from the Sarayaku community in Ecuador. She is a member of the colectivo Mujeres Amazónicas Defensoras de la Selva, an organization that works to protect the rights of indigenous women and their territories. Gualinga has been a vocal advocate for indigenous rights and has worked to preserve the cultural heritage of her community. She is also a skilled linguist and has learned multiple languages, including Spanish and other indigenous languages.
