Olena Bilozerska

Olena Bilozerska is a Ukrainian female soldier and intelligence officer. She joined the military in 2004, before women were allowed to serve. She became a symbol for the growing women's movement in Ukraine, which fought for the abolition of gender-based discrimination in the military. In 2016, Ukraine abolished the distinction between men and women in the military. Today, Olena is a member of the Gur, the Ukrainian intelligence agency.
