Russian ballerina and Picasso's first wife
Olga Khokhlova was a Russian ballerina and the first wife of Pablo Picasso. She was born in 1891 in Moscow, Russia and began her career as a dancer in the Imperial Russian Ballet. Khokhlova met Picasso in 1917, and the two married in 1918. She was a muse for Picasso, and her portrait was painted by him in 1917. Khokhlova was also a patron of the arts, and she supported Picasso's work throughout his career. She passed away in 1952 at the age of 61.
