Olga Tokarczuk is a Polish novelist, essayist, and translator. She was born in Sulechów, Poland in 1962. Tokarczuk is known for her novels that often explore the human condition, history, and culture. She has received numerous awards for her work, including the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2019. Tokarczuk is also a professor at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland.
