Otto Ernst Remer

Otto Ernst Remer was a German Major General in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He played a key role in crushing the July 20, 1944 coup attempt against Adolf Hitler. Remer was a highly respected officer and served as the commander of the 1st Panzer Division. After the war, he wrote a book about the events leading up to and following the coup attempt.
