Otto I. der Groèse

Otto I. der Groèse was the King of the Germans and the Duke of Saxony from 936 to 973. He is considered one of the most important figures in German history. He was a member of the Ottonian dynasty and played a key role in the unification of Germany. He was also a patron of the arts and architecture. He died in 973 and was buried in the Magdeburg Cathedral.
