The Palestinian Authority is the government of the Palestinian National Authority. The Authority was established in 1994 and is responsible for governing the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The Authority is headed by a president and a prime minister, and is responsible for providing public services and promoting economic development. The Authority is based in Ramallah, West Bank.
