Pastor Steven L. Lawson

Steven L. Lawson is a pastor, author, and speaker. He is the senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi, and has written extensively on biblical theology and Christian living. Lawson is known for his strong emphasis on the authority of Scripture and the importance of living a life of obedience to God's Word. He has also been a vocal critic of modern Christianity and its perceived watering down of biblical teachings. Lawson has been married to his wife, Amy, for over 30 years and has three children. He is a graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and has a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Lawson has been a popular speaker on the national speaking circuit and has written numerous books on biblical topics. He is also a frequent guest on other Christian programs and has been a vocal advocate for biblical inerrancy and the authority of Scripture.
