Former Governor of North Carolina and Reagan Conservative
Pat McCrory is an American politician who served as the 74th Governor of North Carolina from 2013 to 2017. He is a member of the Republican Party and has been a vocal advocate for conservative policies. McCrory was born in Richmond, Virginia, and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He served in the North Carolina House of Representatives from 1993 to 2001 and was a member of the North Carolina Senate from 2001 to 2011. As governor, McCrory focused on issues such as education reform and economic development. He is known for his experience managing civil unrest during the 2016 Charlotte riots. McCrory has written several books, including a memoir and a book on conservative politics.
