Patrick Pearse

Patrick Pearse was an Irish revolutionary, poet, and teacher. He was a key figure in the Easter Rising and is remembered as a national hero in Ireland. Pearse was born in Dublin in 1879 and was educated at Trinity College Dublin. He was a passionate advocate for Irish independence and was involved in several revolutionary movements throughout his life. Pearse was also a talented poet and writer, and his works are still widely read and studied today. He was executed by firing squad by the British in 1916 for his role in the Easter Rising.
