Paul Salem

Paul Salem is a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution's Middle East Program. He is a leading expert on Middle East politics, terrorism, and regional security. Salem has written extensively on the Iran nuclear deal, the Syrian civil war, and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He has also served as a consultant to the US government and has testified before Congress on several occasions. Salem holds a PhD in international relations from the University of Chicago and has taught at several universities, including Georgetown and Harvard. He is a frequent commentator on CNN, NPR, and other media outlets.
