Paul Stares

Paul Stares is a renowned expert on conflict prevention and international security. As a General in the US Army, he served as the Commander of the US Africa Command and the Commander of the US European Command. He has also served as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Advisory Group to the Secretary of Defense. Stares has written extensively on topics related to conflict prevention and international security, and has been a leading voice on issues related to US national security policy. He is currently the General John W. Vessey Senior Fellow for Conflict Prevention at the Council on Foreign Relations.
